Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it.

I can’t swear that the title works, but I’m happy with the illustration, so that’s ok. This is actually my take on a vintage style image I found. I wanted to make it more like pop art without going too far overboard.
It seemed like a good way to keep myself interested in this. I want to see if I can mix styles, or give certain styles my own touch rather than simply trying to replicate things.
There’s no sun, but as you can see there are lights… so this woman’s path to happiness is well lit. Plus she’s taking time to smell the flower, so her priorities are in order.
It may have been a gift from a gentleman – who stepped away temporarily to get them some refreshments (it reminds me of the entrance to a theater or something) – or perhaps she bought it for herself. Either way, it’s still a treat.
Anyway, that is all for now. I had about three illustrations going and could not decide where to go with any of them, so I pushed myself to get this done so that I could move on already. Enough is enough! Haha…
Until later,
Peace & Love.
