Ambiguous.

adjective.
Open to more than one interpretation; having a double meaning.

Day 2 (of Create Something new Every Day) is done!

Thinking back on the idea of disclosing only parts of a story, or partial body parts in an illustration, I thought I’d start with this (curvy) vase and work from there.

I love that the thought of making one new thing every day opens up the realm of my inspirational sources. I’m looking for things I haven’t seen or noticed before to get ideas and I think I’ll see growth in this process.

I didn’t stray far, but I’ll get there! Anyway, since today’s illustration is ambiguous, or open to interpretation… for me it depicts the absence of boundaries, rules, or restrictions, so basically it is freedom.

It was by accident, but I like how the woman’s dress seems too tight, or restricting. Once you notice it’s a vase, it almost looks like she’s been stuffed into that vase (trapped!) – which could even represent all of those things that hold me back when I’m trying to be creative.

The opposing side then, leaves room to breath. I thought about adding more flowers or stems, but decided to keep it simple and uncluttered, the way I’d like my mind to be!

Since my focus is on creating, I’ll be using fewer words. For now anyway. That being said, I think that’s enough said for now.

Thanks for viewing or reading… I hope you enjoyed!
