Where I Am Today

It’s never too late…

In August of 2017, I took a giant leap and enrolled in the local community college. As long as I’m sober, and as long as I’m writing the story of how my life was transformed, I might as well give it all I’ve got… right?!

In Fall of 2020 I graduated with an A.A. and transferred to the University where I have seven classes to go before earning my Bachelor’s in psychology.

I’m also pursuing certificates in Graphic & Web Design.

There’s a lot more to come, my story is still being written!

Life is good, sobriety is awesome, and God is great!

…to rewrite your story

  1. I had realized I hadn’t read this part about you just yet! I had to find out where you are headed in your education. Psychology! I have to admit, when I first started school, I DREADED psychology, but it turned out to be one of my favorite courses and plan to take more in the future. I loved it so very much! My desire as nurse had started out wanting to be a psych nurse because I wanted to really focus on Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. It wasn’t until I was general manager at a small town roadside motel that changed my mind ridiculously fast about being a psych nurse. That would take more than I can offer.

Thank you for the Liebster Award nomination! That’s awesome! I’ll get on that soon!

    1. Oh you’re welcome! Kind of funny that a roadside motel changed your direction but I think I get it. I’m not sure where the degree will take me but I am fascinated with the mind so it’s all good whichever way it goes. Psych nurse is not on the agenda tho. Maybe counselor. 😄 anyway thank you and I look forward to reading yours!

  2. You have a great story! I read your “body” page, I could not find a place to comment. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Life situations will set me back. Staying at home as set me back. But, I am in such agreement with you. I need my health! This COVID thing clarifies the importance of weight loss, staying in shape and being healthy. So, I’m on that journey with you 🙂 … and I’m 57 🙂

    1. Thank you!! Yes covid really threw a wrench into the plan, but a lifelong plan is helpful as I can keep restarting. Sounds like we have a lot in common!! Let’s hope for an end to this pandemic and a new start at a better life. 😄❤
