“To take the world as one finds it, the bad with the good… living for love and art — this is the temper and spirit of the modern Bohemian.” -Gelett Burgess

Eventually I’ll move away from my sun images. I had no real intention to continue with them but this illustration begged for one.

This is my take on modern bohemian art. I needed something soothing. The woman was borrowed from an illustration I did many moons ago, and she’s been simplified. I love having a stash of old work… it makes life much easier!

I’ve got an intense project going for school and I do that work in the early morning when my mind is fresh. Once the fog kicks in, or I get distracted, illustration is like meditation for me. My breathing slows (sometimes) and the fog starts to dissipate… or it washes over my body and then it’s time to take a nap. HaHa!

Of course, it makes it hard to return to my studies after that. So… I usually chill until the next day’s sunrise. I seem to do so much better at life when I have more than one thing going on. It keeps me balanced.

Anyway, I wasn’t sure if I should share this one or not. I liked it… then I wasn’t sure if I did. I love earth tones but they can get dull on the screen. Regardless, it’s time to move on to something new. So here it is.

Plus I love focusing on these different styles. So what’s next? I’m not sure, but I am looking for ideas. Feel free to call some out…

Until next time,
Peace & Love.
