Partly Cloudy

There’s always something beautiful after the rain.

Well look who’s decided to have fun. Me! I’m finally over my humdrum existence. For now anyway.

For the first time in a while I enjoyed every minute of creating this illustration. I love the style, and I love the colors. The woman was inspired by some art that I saw, and once I had her seated… things just started to flow.

It’s a little wonky as far as the idea of having an umbrella in the house, but let’s just say it’s a metaphor for her recent soggy mood (hint hint). But the good news is… there’s always something beautiful after the rain.

I guess it’s like a glass half empty, glass half full moment. I mean, it’s partly cloudy, but that means it’s partly sunny too. Just look at that sunshine!

I could go on and on, but I don’t want to over-explain it and ruin the mood.
