“To me the meanest flower that blows can give thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.” -William Wordsworth
I’ve been experimenting a little more, and I was pleased with how this ‘thinker’ turned out. I actually illustrated her in black and white, taking time to focus on shadows and highlights, but still, she seemed drab.
I try not to use the iPhone photo apps, but I did it anyway. This particular effect stuck with me, as it looked way more interesting than the original black and white. I think it helps accentuate the depth of the woman’s thinking.
Anyway, I’ve been illustrating a little every day – to take time outs from the short story I’m working on. I hesitate to say that it’s moving along marvelously… (fearing I might jinx it)… but I’m so close to the end that I can almost taste it. Almost.
I think that’s all for now. I just wanted to share this illustration because it made me feel happy.
Until next time…
Peace & Love!
