Time Warp

The sixties were a time when ordinary people could do extraordinary things . . . !

Twiggy

Hopefully the cool quote that I’ve chosen has given you a clue as to who inspired my latest illustration. The photo was actually in black and white, so I chose an orange hue that could have been popular in the 60s. Of course, it looks different on every screen, so on my PC right now it looks like plain old orange.

The photos I find always seem to have the feet somewhat cropped out, so I thought I’d go with the trend, keep it simple, and hide the feet myself. Eventually I’ll buckle down and watch some tutorials on these things that I find difficult, but for now I just want to enjoy myself.

I thought it might be interesting to share the originals that I’ve used as a reference point, just for the sake of comparison, so here’s the original Twiggy…

Don’t ask me what that strange stuffed animal is that she’s holding. It looks pretty weird! A pig maybe? Anyway, I think that’s about all for now.

I hope you’re doing well and keeping safe in this mad, mad world that we’re living in right now.

And I hope you enjoyed the illustration!

Until later,
Peace & Love!

  1. Happy you’re enjoying yourself and having fun, Janet. I knew immediately who the illustration was fashioned after… in fact I had my hair cut to look just like her! I loved Twiggy…😎

    1. Hi Elizabeth! Thank you! I liked her too. Come to think of it my mom had my hair cut pretty short, maybe she got the idea from Twiggy too. 😂

    1. Yes. It’s a website called redbubble that creates print-on-demand clothing. I create the designs and add them on the products so people can buy. You can also order custom made designs if you reach out to me through social media. You can tell me what you want exactly and we can go back and forth to get the design right, then I add it on the shop for you to order if you want. They have great sales, like 20% off your 1st order, 15% off if you buy 2 throw pillows for example. Just go to positivitydesign.s on Instagram and you can see what type of products and designs there are and the link to the shop is in the bio.
