Dangerous Lies

Secrets encrypted,

Lies decoded and exposed,

Message self-destructs.

Well that was an interesting prompt! And I may have just summed up 2020. So far. What is real, and what is fake? It’s so hard to say, but—as the haiku alludes—don’t look to the media for answers.

As you will see in the credits below, the image is not mine. But what a perfect haiku accompaniment it is. Anyway… I’ve promised myself to do a lot of writing this week, so be prepared! I’m having a hard time with the ending for my short story, but I have a second story that I’m eager to rewrite. So… I may start something new before finishing the old.

What the heck. If there’s one thing this year has taught me, it’s to live for today and stop worrying about tomorrow. Or anything else for that matter.

So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6:34

That’s about all for now. Have a beautiful day everyone!

Great reminder about just living today, not borrowing tomorrow in advance, Janet. And heck YES, the media–they’re all amped up on something these days…which is why I limit my exposure to their usually bad news stories. We who have the Lord, have Good News of BETTER DAYS ahead. Blessings to you–keep writing 🙂 ❤

Thanks Z! Yeah they are hyped up on something alright. I always think of Don Henley’s song “Dirty Laundry.” An oldie but goody. Anyway, better days are ahead indeed. Much love to you!

You speak the truth about all the lies! So tired of it all. Bring on the inspired, beautiful, truthful, insightful, life-giving words! 💕

I’ve never written a haiku. I’ve read several good ones. Maybe I might try… but it has to rhyme lol!

Funny you say that! I have a problem always wanting to rhyme. I think that’s why I like writing haiku, it helps me to be a rebel haha!

Lol!! I’m weird… art doesn’t always have to be pretty. But poetry (mine at least) has to rhyme.

      Rock on, rebel! 😁
