Day after day,
He drenched her with love,
And she was nothing but cavalier.
He tried and he tried,
But to no avail,
Until his breaking point was near.
She woke one day,
To find he had gone,
She had driven him from his turf.
He stood and he stared,
As the waves crashed down,
Then he smiled… as it was time to surf.

Sammi Cox Weeking Writing Challenge: Cavalier in 64 Words
I wanted to share my newest photography art… “The Surfer,” and decided to take on the weekend writing challenge—using the word cavalier—at the same time. It wasn’t easy, but I’m glad I was able to get it together and add some humor to the lad in the colorful sea.
I guess you could say that he made the best of a bad situation.
Peace & Love!!
Great poem and great picture.
