Winds of Change

The sky is ablaze,

Logic is lost in anger,

Winds of change are here.

I needed to work on some art, and post some words today. Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge: Anger & Logic sort of landed right in front of me at the right moment.

I’m doing a lot of praying over here. Black lives matter indeed, and that is not a new idea to me. Seeing the hatred and anger that I’ve seen lately, on the other hand, simply brings me to tears. I’m just heartbroken. I’m trying to stay off of social media because I see nothing but daggers being thrown around in there. I hope my Haiku says something good. It’s a bit ambiguous, but change is coming.

Anyway, I pray that resolutions come swiftly and peacefully, and that great progress is made. Life is good, and God is so, so great. We are all a part of His wonderful tapestry, woven out of magnificent colors, so let’s celebrate our diversity with love.

    2. Thanks for the love! Treadmill is “sleeping”…I tried for a few days, went slow and all that–but my back and hip pain really kicked up…so, not a good report for you 🙂

    3. Yeah I hear ya. My changes are on hold. Everything is just too much lately! I’ve gained some weight but thankfully it’s what I lost. A rainbow in the storm kind of.

    4. That’s a good way of putting it, honey-bunch–“rainbow in the storm”. This feels like the storm of the ages–Old Testament-majorly.

    1. Hi John and thank you! I’m doing Ok and have been wondering about all of you as well, my fellow bloggers who also live in the U.S. It was very sad and scary to see the beach town (Santa Monica) that I spent summers in as both a child – and with my own kids – getting destroyed and looted. I think I’ve actually gone through several stages of grief. The city that I live in has had only peaceful protests and I’m so thankful for that. How is everything around you? I’m not sure what part of the country you’re in, but I know that L.A. isn’t the worst, or the best right now.

    2. So far things have been fairly peaceful in our city of Portsmouth here on the Virginia coast. We are a small city surrounded by much larger cities, and I think that helps. We also have our second (two in a row) African American female Chief Of Police and they have both done a phenomenal job with community relations. So sorry to hear about Santa Monica though. And for the loss of so many places that you remember so fondly. Stay safe and healthy. John
