the Shutdown

Two Flowers

In the Quietus

The earth’s music could be heard

We stopped to listen

In this period of quietus, I’m working on photographs of almost every flower we have in our yard. These are in a pot near the front porch. I was drawn to the splashes of dark pink, and the way they contrast with the bright white petals. Nature’s display of diversity.

There are silver linings and hidden treasures in everything we encounter; all we must do is listen and look.

This is SUCH a GOOD post, Janet–the flower is beautiful, almost looks like blood drops on it…maybe I have Good Friday on my mind already.

Oh dear….I was so hoping you wouldn’t ask me, haha!! I didn’t get a step counter yet–but thanks for the reminder…I’ll “hop” over to Amazon now and put it in my cart (because I DID look at them! I’m going to get a no-frills basic one 🙂 ) 😉💙

Yeah I was almost going to get the $10 one that looks like you put it on your foot. I was just kidding though… don’t rush on my account. I’m still waiting to see if it really gets me moving… so far it’s 50/50 – sometimes yes sometimes no.

Janet, yours is one of the more exquisite blogs I have had the privilege of viewing over 20 years, now. I enjoy the theme you are using to create such beautiful art. All I can say is stay creative. You definitely have a very powerful aspiration for creative writing, photography, and art. Be blessed as you most certainly are. Thanks for the privilege.
