Carpe Diem

Yesterday is ashes; tomorrow wood. Only today does the fire burn brightly.

—Old Eskimo proverb—

Seize the Day!

After three trips out, I’ve accumulated a plethora of beach photographs. That being said… you can expect to see more.

I thought this image was a great depiction of living in the now. What better way to spend the day than having fun with your dog? By the ocean no less!

Of course, another great way to be present is to be outside taking photos. For me anyway. I feel an odd sense of accomplishment when I return home rested and refreshed—with a camera full of images. It’s like bringing home souvenirs, but they don’t cost anything.

Anyway, I’m really happy with the practice I’m getting out there. It’s the ideal form of street photography. I get away from the heat and can do it from the comfort of my chair… on the sand… with a beautiful view!

That’s about all for now. Peace & love!
