The Entr’acte

Haiku & Illustration

The entr’acte begins,

With the music as our guide,

Slip, kick, one, two, three.

(Repeat)

I’ve gotten so used to posting daily that I felt incomplete before bed. I thought it would be a fun time to present a brief intermission; a song and dance, and a little haiku.

I don’t have much to say. Today was one of those lazy (or lethargic) days for me, although I did clean some clutter, and I went to lunch with my dearest friend – so it wasn’t exactly productive, but it was definitely quality time. Anyway, I’m stuck on Scarlett and Mrs. Moonie, and I’m brainstorming ideas for the new story. I can’t wait!

I didn’t want to rush it, and today’s word challenges just didn’t go with the theme. Plus, I’d like the intro to be intriguing and figuring out good beginnings is one of the hardest parts!

Also… in putting this post together I learned the word entr’acte: the interval between two consecutive acts of a theatrical or operatic performance. In plain English, I guess it means intermission – haha. I’m not French, and I don’t really attend performances (except concerts now and then), so the word is brand new to me. I figured I’d mention that in case I’m not the only one who’s never heard it before.

I think my dancers almost look like they’re line dancing, haha! Not really what I was going for, but if I remove the canes and add cowboy hats maybe I can recycle it someday.

Anyway, that’s about all for now.

Peace & Love!
