I’ve veered slightly off from my “what’s in a shoe” idea, but I made sure to include some boots in my illustration. I think that’s where I’m going to remain for a while… inside the footwear realm. Could my new shoe fetish be the beginning of a story? Maybe.
I was having so much fun with my new vintage handwriting overlays that I revisited the designer’s website and obtained a few more cool things.
As you can see, Lady M’s dress consists of an overlay… on top of an overlay. Too fun! Honestly, I love it. If I could find this outfit online I would probably buy it!
Once she was done, the woman reminded me of a cross between Selena Gomez and Lady Mary on Downton Abbey (haha!). I had never (ever) seen that show until recently, when I was totally bored, and then I made the decision to watch the entire series – and then the 3 movies that followed (not in one night, obviously!!).
Between the headpiece and the upward tilt of the nose… Lady M it was.
Anyway, I had a few more thoughts that I wanted to share, and I wish that I could come up with the words, but there’s a thick fog that is lingering in the recesses of my mind this evening… so I’ll leave it at this for now.
