Be Not Ashamed

I feel my sense of humor coming back. I guess there’s something to be said about the Relentless Pursuit of Positivity… it allows you to see the good in everything.

I’m hoping that my image is not as literal as it was going to be. If it weren’t for the sign, I wonder if you would know what is delicately wrapped around my character.

It’s never actually happened to me, but I’ve heard stories… coming out of the bathroom stall with a little hitchhiker coming out of the back of your fancy black dress. A piece of the roll got caught somehow, and it just couldn’t let go… so it followed you (quite gracefully, I might add) out of the ladies room and across the dance floor.

Anyway, even though this particular mishap never happened to me (although I do remember how the paper would stick to my shoe on certain occasions), it’s the lesson that comes out of it that matters. At least when you’re pursuing positivity.

Sometimes… people fall into the trap of “being too serious,” and they start feeling all uptight. Their sense of humor starts to fade, and they lose the ability to laugh at themselves. Then something like this happens.

I think it’s times like these when our character is put to the test. We can freak out and let the embarrassment shrink our confidence to the size of a pea, or we can recognize the irony – the humor of the situation – and “be not ashamed.”

We can laugh, and suddenly the tension that’s been eating us up inside starts to escape. I suppose that the old “bathroom mishap” is just a metaphor really.

Anyway, to avoid being too uncouth, I’ve allowed this woman to be holding the Charmin as if it were a prop… a scarf perhaps? Notice how she’s smiling, and prancing around as if that paper was her dance partner?

I think she’s handled the situation perfectly! With positivity!

That’s about all for now. Thanks for looking or reading… I hope you found some enjoyment here.

Haha I was 2/3 confident of the the sash’s fabric; the sign placement is the perfect touch as my eyes didn’t wander there immediately. Good message!
