An open mind is like an open window. It let’s the fresh air in. -Mike Hernacki
Day 3 is done! I’ll admit that I cheated a little. I’ve recycled on this one. In today’s create something new every day, I used a woman that I illustrated for one of my stories.
What I’ve been doing is watching tutorials (which is a feat in itself with my attention span!) on creating 3D effects in Illustrator. It’s one of those tools that I usually ignore for two reasons.
For one thing, my PC can really drag and crash when I use certain things in Adobe. Luckily, it’s been working decently today, now that I know a little more about what I’m doing.
The other thing is that I’ve never known what I’m doing! If you don’t understand how the tool works, and your PC drags every time you try to use it, sometimes it’s best to stay away from it. That’s my philosophy anyway.
BUT, if I’m going to make something new every day, I’ve got to expand my tools. So that explains that. I played around with balls, flowers, and even a vase, but so far I can’t visualize an end result with them. That will take some work.
I experimented and used this laughing woman because she makes me laugh. I used the 3D inflate tool, which kind of blows things up. She reminds me of a clay figurine that’s been sculpted.
Anyway, that’s all for now! I will definitely be using the 3D tool more, I’ve just got to make a plan. Or go totally random. We’ll see.
Sorry I’ve nothing real to add. All is well here and I’m getting ready for another visit from my son, so I’m a happy camper these days.
Until next time,
I hope you enjoyed! As always, thanks for checking it out!
