Wind of Change

I wanted to get back into “movement” or “change,” because I’m coming to appreciate how my mind operates (or overtakes me).

I may change my goals and objectives often, and even my opinions… but rarely – if ever – am I bored.

Maybe it’s my subconscious mind, finding ways to keep me from mundane monotony. If I keep changing where I’m going, or what I’m doing, boredom can’t keep up. It gets left behind in the dust.

The main thing here is that it’s never intentional. It just happens. And I’m not going to worry about it or try to control it or change it.

Anyway… believe it or not, I was actually in the shower when I started thinking about an illustration with a flying umbrella – and the Scorpions song “wind of change” came to mind. Weird, eh?

I love it when the image comes to mind first, because then I can decide on my own what the illustration means to me.

When I create an image based on a preconceived idea, I feel boxed in and less creative. I don’t know. That’s my two cents tonight, anyway.

I’m on the last stretch of a class at the moment, but I might be back on my story soon… or a new story… I’m not sure. I’ll see what changes blow in before I decide!
