-A Short (Somewhat Graphic) Novel-

Oliver was still lightheaded, and terribly confused, but he gained vigor… suddenly intrigued.
“Have we met?”
The woman smiled. “In another life, perhaps.”
Rarely was Oliver at a loss for words, but in that moment he was bereft of speech. The woman was a beauty, and surely a man would stammer in her presence, but Oliver’s silence was not caused by nerves, or the woman’s appearance. It was something else.
He sensed that he stood before something supernatural, a being with powers. Someone magical. A genie, perhaps?
Oliver considered this notion, then shook his head in disbelief. “What? Are you crazy?” He thought to himself.
The woman twirled her hair with her fingers and let out a gentle sigh.
“No Oliver,” she teased, “you’re not crazy.”
A shiver crept down his spine, and he experienced a twinge of déjà vu. A flashback of this very encounter. He was sure that the memory existed, but he just couldn’t grasp it… like it was from a forgotten dream.
Still speechless, Oliver watched as the woman leaned closer.
“Oliver,” she whispered, “I’m here to grant you that wish.”
TO BE CONTINUED
Hello! I’ve been hurrying with the illustration today because I haven’t had writer’s block and I’m afraid that the graphic work is slowing me down. So… only one image. My graphic novel is not so graphic today. (haha)
I made it hard on myself because I mentioned the girl’s beauty… then I felt obligated to make her beautiful. It took way too long, and I’m still not satisfied. Sheesh, that sounds like how I feel when I’m getting ready to go somewhere fancy!
Anyway, I’m doing what I hoped to do last time… making each segment short and sweet. According to WordPress, its a 1 minute read. Not too shabby, especially if you have a short attention span like me.
I guess that’s all for now. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!!
