Oh wow. I cannot believe this. Ingrid came by Leo’s and told me that Deborah’s flying in. What a trip. I haven’t seen that dame in years.
Seems the Portville “busybodies club” has it in for Ingrid, and she’s enlisted the help of our dear old friend, or should I say Madam, DeeDee DuBois. That’s what she went by back in the day, anyway.
Holy Toledo. I hope she knows what she’s doing. Talk about a can of worms! Ingrid has as many skeletons in her closet as I do, and Deborah has the keys that unlock those doors.

I just want Yvonne back, and I want her safe and sound. The cops say that every day that goes by lessens the likelihood that she’ll be found… alive, anyway.
If they’d stop lollygagging and look for some real clues instead of looking at me and Ingrid, maybe they’d actually get somewhere.
Some of the busybodies think that I did something to Yvonne, but I swear to you… I have nothing but love for my wife.
I still remember the first time I laid eyes on her. It was at the Moonlight Roller Rink. Me and a few of my buddies went there to kill some time before we headed into the red light district.
We were hanging out in front of the concessions stand, and I’d just taken a swig off of the Jim Beam bottle that Billy Riley snuck in. When I turned to hand it back to him… there she was.
What a beauty! She looked like she was floating on air… like an angel.

It felt like a bolt of lightning pierced my heart. I asked her out as soon as she came off the rink, and after that night, I vowed that I’d never return to my old ways.
I was on the straight and narrow from there on out, and I’ve never regretted it. Not one bit.
Sure, Yvonne’s temper and harsh words can be hard to handle at times, but I learned early on that she’s quick to say “I’m sorry.” And her apologies are pretty steamy… if you know what I mean. Hehehe.
I was really looking forward to getting home that night, after she blew up like she did over at Leo’s. But, I never got to see her after that, and it stinks that our argument was the last conversation we had together before she went missing.
Honest to God, I can’t even remember what the fight was about… Sorry, I’m starting to tear up.
Anyway, I am done with the police. I’ve been waiting on a wire from the Cayman’s – which is why it’s taken so damn long – but the deal is finally done.
I’ve hired a private investigator, a real top of the line sleuth, and she is ready to rock and roll.

Hang in there Yvonne… I’m coming to get you baby!
TO BE CONTINUED
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed!!
Not much to add today other than the fact that I think I need to narrow it down to two illustrations per segment. I really enjoy the comic/pop art style, so I’m thinking I want to get more in depth on the illustrations – quality trumps quantity I suppose.
Anyway… I thought it would be fun to make our P.I. a woman since this story is supposed to be all about the ladies, and I’m curious to see if Jimmy can stay focused while working with a female… hahaha. Let’s see just how loyal he really is.
All in fun. I have no idea where we’re headed, but looking forward to finding out.
Until then,
Peace & Love!
