I wanted to pop in and share my latest image – made with a blend of Illustrator and Photoshop. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make illustrations look a tad less cartoonish… so I did the outlines in Illustrator and then moved them to Photoshop to use them as a guide and paint in the colors using various watercolor brushes.
Seriously, I wanted to write a haiku to accompany it… but my mind completely shut down ‘on the writing front’ a few days ago. I’ve been enjoying the time off though! It’s been very relaxing.
I used the Daily Spur’s Word Prompt: Filter to come up with the title. My sons tease me now and then because – apparently – I dress like a hippy sometimes (yes, I still wear tie-dyed clothes). The watercolor brushes created a bit of a faux tie-dye look – so this illustration is kind of like a self-portrait… filtered by time. Perhaps the 70s.
Anyway, that’s about all for now. I had a good time creating this one, so I’ll probably be doing a few more to get a better handle on the brushes.
I hope you enjoy!
Until later,
Peace & Love!
Oooh la la! Vibrant colors! Hope you’re doing well, Lady J–is the dog-sitting gig still on?

Thanks Z! That particular one may be off but my friend does need help that same time so I’ll be working a little just not at that house.
