Fragments

As wings touch the sky,

Fragments of eternity,

Scatter ‘cross the sea.

I have to admit that I’ve already visited my thesaurus twice today. Don’t ask me why I feel the need to confess this… it just feels right. Plus it explains why my haiku—written for Ronovan Write Haiku Challenge: Meet & Part —contains neither of of those words. Ha! The meaning is there!

I actually started working on the image yesterday, for Ragtag’s Sunday word prompt, which was BEACH. I realize it’s a day late, but it’s the thought that counts. It was another photograph from the archives, as I’ve yet to see the beach since COVID hit. Soon though!

That’s about all for now. I’ve got a short story to finish, some old posts to rummage through for my next rewrite, and a paper to write for school!

Until next time…
Peace & Love!

    I don’t judge your thesaurus incident…

Ok, teach me something about haikus

Easy. 5 / 7 / 5 syllable count. Personally, I avoid rhymes lol. It’s an exercise in self control. Use an image (preferably nature?) and describe the scene, or what it evokes. That’s my method anyway.

Cool! I’m going to think about this and try to come up with 2, rhyme and no rhyme.

Your haiku is absolutely perfect!! Even without the amazing shot of the seagull, it was easy to hear “beach”.

    Well done! 🙂

Technical and personal issues….cataracts make reading and writing quite difficult…blogging just isn’t as fun as it used to be. I looked into getting a magnifying screen that would fit over the laptop’s screen (and be easily removed)–but the price was significant… Take care of YOU! ❤

Ahhh. I here you Z. Sometimes blogging loses it’s fun, especially when it’s hard to know how we’ll feel with everything that’s going on around us! I started focusing on another new theme and then I realized I’m just spinning my wheels… trying to stay occupied with something that might not matter tomorrow or next month. Well, I hope to see you back in the community at some point, but I DO have your email and will stay in touch, if you don’t mind! xoxoxox

Yes I agree that the stressful state of the world’s affairs impacts Everything…and Daily! Feel like I can’t catch a breath or a break before the next tsunami hits. I totally understand about you starting the new theme…then feel like you’re spinning your wheels…I feel for you, truly I do. Yes, we can stay in touch–short emails probably, as I continue dealing with the vision issue (which has really cramped my “jabbering” style, haha!). ❤ ❤ ❤

Yes, that would just send you to the hospital where the virus is lingering! You got this Z. Please hang in there (not near the balcony railing!!!) and keep in touch. I have a feeling you won’t stay away too long and, like we agreed, there is always email. Much love to you my sister!!
