Nuances.
The rhythm slows,
Lights flicker,
A room once bright,
Is now dimly lit.
Hearts ache,
Bittersweet,
The pieces laid out,
Never seem to fit.
The clock races,
Time stands still,
A story ends,
But will never quit.

Reminds me of song lyrics,
“You can check out any time you like
But you can never leave” —
nicely done. I enjoyed it.
