Midnight Mayhem

I’m stirring up mayhem tonight, and I’ll probably kick myself for it later. My garden photographs are waiting to be sorted, and my short story still needs an ending, but I REALLY wanted to work on this portrait—so here I am—finishing up in the wee hours of the night.

Actually, the “mayhem” I’ve added is supposed to push the portrait toward the humorous side, sort of like a comic book, but I think it ended up looking more serious than fun. Anyway, there’s a story in here somewhere. I had to send a photo to the college for our virtual graduation, so I ended up with a self-portrait to play with. I don’t know… I thought it was about time I sucked it up and did a portrait of my own—for me.

Life is simply a mix of mayhem and magnolias, so embrace this gentle riot and gather flowers along the way.

Thanks Collette! I love the word edgy LOL. We had to choose a word in a graphic design class, to describe what we want our work to be like and I chose edgy. So there you go! Haha. I appreciate the compliment! 😄🤔😘❤❤

I share about 1 in 100 of the images I have seen of myself. This one was actually an accident when I was looking… the shutter clicked accidentally and I thought HEY that ain’t a bad one lol!

But 9 out of 10 times the pictures aren’t bad!

See, here’s the thing.. women can do stuff to improve their looks. It works too! Guys, if we’re ugly, we’re ugly. There’s no help….

Well there IS Photoshop. Lol. I can turn a frown into a smile, slim the waistline, or even remove wrinkles. But kidding aside, yes you have a point. Its what’s on the inside that matters, especially when you reach the silver years. ☺

      What about the aluminum years??

Why is perfection so important? (Yes I’m getting deep) imperfection is pretty too.

Janet, lost sailors on the Bearing Sea can find grid coordinations to Anchorage on my face…

Lol. Well, I think my point is that it’s one thing to be accepting and even appreciate your imperfections, but it’s quite another to send images of them all around the globe. And never heard of the aluminum years. Is that like ready for the recycling bin??

I tend to go off into uncharted waters in conversation sometimes. So just tell me to shut up. I won’t be offended.

Lol!! We might get 50 cents a pound lol!!
